Rozzie's Engel Launches Art Van-Go! Bringing Art to the Kids

Sara Engel dream up Art Van-Go! seven years ago while working abroad, and has now made her dream a reality.

Roslindale resident Sara Engel is bringing art to the children through her mobile project, Art Van-Go!

Engel said the idea for Art Van-Go! was "originally sparked while working with children at Peña Blanca in Guatemala." She said she'd daydream of ways to bring art to children there, and others with less opportunities. Seven years later, the dream is a reality.

"During the day, I work for Whole Foods Market as a Store Graphic Artist, making fun chalkboard signage and designing printed materials. When not at work, I daydream about traveling and changing the world," wrote Engel on her website's funding page.

"I have worked with children for over 15 years, as an After School Assistant Director and Site Supervisor, as a Preschool Teacher, Camp Counselor, Art Program Specialist and while working at Whole Foods, I've lead school tours and organized many kid-friendly events."

"I want to enrich children's lives and use my years of experience to develop something I'm truly passionate about," added Engel.
