Roslindale Man Arrested in Brookline

Javier Rodriqez also had an active warrant.

A local man is facing a slew of charges after being arrested at the Brookline-Boston line earlier this week.

Javier Rodriqez, 50, of Roslindale, was arrested at 1:14 p.m. on April 14, on a straight warrant out of Brighton District Court (March 26). He was also charged with operating after revocation, revoked registration, uninsured motor vehicle, and unregistered motor vehicle.

An Brookline Police officer on patrol saw a car parked just over the Brookline line in Boston with a driver on one side and “a male hanging inside of the vehicle on the passenger door,” according to a report. A check of the registration yielded a revoked insurance from March 23, with the driver, Rodriqez, having an active warrant.

The officer passed by the vehicle and then, stopped to speak with Rodriqez and he was later arrested.

Due to his “behavior and additional observations,” a Narcotics K9 unit was requested at the scene to search the area but the results were negative.
