K-9 Called in After 1 Bag of Marijuana, $2044 Seized in Roslindale Traffic Stop

Boston Police brought in a K-9 unit to investigate a gold-colored BMW after the driver allegedly voluntarily handed over a bag of weed and more than $2,000 in cash during a traffic stop in Roslindale.
On July 12, around 8:15 p.m., Quentin Finch, of 51 Clarkson St. #2, Dorchester, was arrested and charged with operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license, and issued a civil citation for possession of a class D drug, marijuana, according to a Boston Police report.
Police noticed a gold-colored BMW make a right turn onto Washington Street and the passenger side rear brake lights did not turn on when it stopped at a stop sign. After pulling over the vehicle at 3924 Washington St., the driver allegedly said he only had a Massachusetts ID and that he was "carrying one bag" as the driver handed his ID and a bag of a leafy green substance believed to be marijuana, according to a Boston Police report.
Officers asked the suspect if he had anything else on him, and the driver handed the officer $2,044 in cash, which was immediately returned to the driver and was counted at the booking station by the booking officer. Police confirmed the suspect had a suspended license and arrested him.
During an inventory search of the vehicle police removed two cellphones and a search by K-9 Peggy turned up negative results, according to a Boston Police report.
