Crime Decreases in Roslindale/West Roxbury Over Year

The crime rate has decreased in Boston’s E-5 District since last year, according to Boston Police reports.
Boston Police statistics show that the number of crimes from January 1 - October 8, 2012 was greater than the number of crimes from Jan. 1- Oct. 8 of 2013 in the E-5 District of West Roxbury and Roslindale.
So far in 2013 there have been less robberies, aggravates assaults, burglaries and larcenies in West Roxbury and Roslindale compared to the first 10 months of 2012. However, the numbers of homicides, rapes and vehicle thefts has increased since last year.
