Arrestee for Pills: 'It's a Different Kind of High, It's the Devil'

The following article is based on a Boston Police report, and where charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Undercover Boston Police arrested a man from Munson, Massachusetts, for allegedly smoking Percocet pills in Roslindale.

On July 9, around 3:30 p.m., Adam J. McGrath, of 40 Stafford Hollow Road, Munson, Mass., was arrested and charged with possession of a class B drug (Percocet), according to a Boston Police report.

While surveilling the parking lot of 4600 Washington St., Roslindale, a known area for drug transactions, police noticed the suspect in a vehicle registered out of Monson, not close to Roslindale.

Police allegedly saw the suspect lean over to his passenger side for a couple of seconds and then come up and wipe his nose, according to Boston Police report. The suspect was also continually looking around, thus police believed they had witnessed drug activity.

Approaching the vehicle and identifying themselves as Boston Police, an officer saw the suspect holding a straw in his hand. The suspect then tried to lock his car door and move the vehicle into reverse, while trying to allegedly throw out a piece of tinfoil containing a blue colored pill over the passenger side of the vehicle, according to a police report.

The suspect was removed from the vehicle, and officers found tinfoil with a partially charred blue pill. Three pills were also recovered in a small container, according to police.

While waiting for the transport wagon, an officer asked the suspect, "What were you doing, smoking the pills?" and the suspect allegedly said, "Yeah, it's a different kind of high, it's the devil."
