40 Years in 1 Spot, Droubi Brothers Bakery Moving to Washington Street

Droubl Brothers Bakery is known for its Middle Eastern foods such as red beans, baklava, halloumi cheese, grape leaves and more.

The Droubi Brothers Bakery is moving from the location its been at for 40 years on South Street to a new spot in Roslindale Village.

Many folks may call the store Bob's Pita Bakery due to that being the larger and overhead sign at its current 748 South Street locale. The business is relocating to the old Social Security building at 4198 Washington Street, according to the Roslindale Village Main Streets newsletter.

The bakery is one of Roslindale's most popular hidden jewels of the Village due to its great variety of Middle Eastern foods such as red beans, baklava, halloumi cheese, grape leaves and more.

The owner, Bob, expects to be in the new location in the next week once the Inspectional Services Department approves the new building.

Roslindale Village Main Street's Executive Director Christine DiLisio is in contact with the owner of the building being vacated to learn of plans of what's going in there next.
