Rozzie Open Studios Running $5000 Fundraising Campaign

Roslindale Open Studios needs new banners, signage for residential studios and more.

The Roslindale Open Studios committee is running a fundraising campaign to receive $5,000.

The Roslindale Open Studios Planning Committee recently sent out a letter to its supporters, that included:

"The planning for Roslindale Open Studios is underway with great determination and enthusiasm but we need a little help from our friends! It takes a Village to make such a wonderful event happen, so we hope we can count on you! We've launched a crowd-sourced fundraising campaign to raise $5,000 and we’re offering many wonderful incentives to show our appreciation!"

Artists pay a fee to participate, but one third of Roslindale Open Studios operating expenses are still uncovered. Open Studios prints and distribute 10,000 brochures, 15,000 postcards and 200 posters each year, and this year Roslindale Open Studios is in need of new banners and signage.

"We have delayed printing new banners, signage and brochures that will allow for us to strengthen our brand and increase our outreach about the arts. We would also like to design a large and centrally located map to help patrons navigate throughout the neighborhood. In addition, we are planning to produce much needed signage for our group locations, as well as home studios. As an added draw, we would also like to increase artistic presence in the form of music and poetry by hosting live performances at every group location," said the email.
