Roslindale Farmers' Market Volunteers Needed

A graphic artist is being sought to help with a new project with chef Lester Esser.

  The Roslindale Village Farmers' Market is looking for volunteers for this summer and fall season. In particular a graphic artist is being sought as the market starts a new project with chef Lester Esser "that will help tie in mom and pop shops to the Farmers' Market," according to the Roslindale Village Main Street newsletter. The graphic artist would be wanted to donate some time to help with marketing materials. If you interested in being a volunteer at the market, be it as a graphic artist or just helping out,  emai market manager Ben Sommer. 

Another Major Project Proposed for TD Garden Area

A development company this week filed plans to build a mixed-use building at the entrance to the arena and North Station that would feature retail and office space, a hotel and up to 500 residential units.

  Just three months after the city approved a 38-story mixed-use development that will be connected to TD Garden, a second major project has been proposed in that area of Boston's West End neighborhood, also with plans to connect to the arena. Developers Boston Properties Inc. and Delaware North Companies Inc., through the Boston Garden Development Corporation, filed a letter of intent this week with the Boston Redevelopment Authority seeking to construct a mix of retail and office space, hotel rooms and up to 500 residential units on about 2.8 acres of land at 80 Causeway Street. Phone and internet are down in Roslindale and other areas, too.

  RCN customers in Roslindale were experiencing an "areawide outage" for both phone and the internet. UniversalHub, which is headquartered in Rozzie, tweeted around 1 p.m.: "RCN has an "areawide outage" for both phone and Internet in Roslindale. See 3 Plans to Renovate Adams Park in Roslindale

Adams Park is being renovated, check out the new plans that include new paths, entrances and performance spaces.

  Adams Park is getting a facelift and three concepts have been proposed that include options for new paths, entrances and a new performance area. The concepts were presented during a public meeting last week. The first concept keeps Adams Park fairly the same, but removes the mosaic plaza area for better access. All plans call for plants to be landscaped throughout the park, as well as including memorial for World War I and II.  The second concept creates a new walkway on the South and Poplar streets sides. Outpatient Victims to Receive One Fund Boston Payments

Claims for One Fund Boston payments are being accepted through June 15, and funds will start being distributed on a rolling basis on June 30.

Boston Marathon bombing victims treated as outpatients at Boston-area hospitals are eligible to receive One Fund Boston payments.  Claims are now being accepted through June 15, and money will start being handed out on June 30 on a rolling basis, according to One Fund Boston's website. The final protocal and prioritization for victims was also released through the website. Individual death claims, double amputeees, and those who suffered permanent brain damage are the top priority. Previously, One Fund Boston administrator Kenneth Feinberg had estimated the families of the three victims who died from the bombings, could receive $1 million.
