Police spoke with a site maintenance employee for 885 South St., who said he had responded to an emergency alarm within the building. The man told police he saw the suspect in the lobby covered in blood and she tried to exit the main door of the building with a small piece of luggage. The man told police he stopped her in case she needed medical attention, but the suspect told the man there were warrants out for her arrest and she could not stay. But she did stay.

Police spoke with a resident who alleged the suspect had gotten into an arguement with the resident's son, who has a child with the suspect, according to a Boston Police report. The resident said she saw the suspect take a knife from the drawer and stab her son in the left hand. The woman said the incident then carried out into the hallway. Officers saw blood on the kitchen floor, as well as on the cabinets and walls leading to the main door. There was also a large framed picture on the wall which had broken glass around it and on the ground. There was also blood smeared on the sections of the walls and railings outside the apartment.

The officers were able to get the victim to come back to the location to be treated medically and explained what had occurred. The victim told police the suspect had been drinking and he asked her to leave the apartment, which she refused. He said an arguement ensued and she grabbed a knife and stabbed his left hand. The victim had a t-shirt wrapped around his left hand, which appeared to be covered in blood. Boston EMS was requested to the scene and transported the victim to the Boston Medical Center.

Police then responded to Brigham and Women's Faulkner Hospital to arrest the suspect. The suspect's clothes were seized for evidence.
