I believe that the world will not end on December 21, 2012. Only God knows when the world will end, and none of us will know. So it will not even matter to us. I have been researching on the Nasa website, and there is no evidence or endications that there are planets or astriods or solarwaves that are going to destroy the earth. The Mayans have many calenders, this one is just coming to an end and a new one will start. Nasa, the government , etc.... will not tell you the world is going to end.....even if it was going to end. They are not going to cause mass panic. There are places that are actually recruiting trained professionals in the event of an emergency. Our government specifically has been testing their emergency alert "just in case". There will of course be riots and chaos. Heck, the Stanley Cup game in Canada caused riots in downtown Vancouver. Just imagine the riots that are going to come from a possible end of the world.

Alright so me and my friends came up with reasons why the world wont end on d 12 2012, or shouldnt.
1. The mayans were great at astronomy, terrific for the technology they had. They were able to see eclpises 2 years in advance... however not 2012 years in advance
2. Counting leap years which i doubt the mayans went by. The world would have ended 5-7 yrs ago.
3. The mayan calnder ends on december 12 2012 so that means the end of the world? my calender ends december 31st sooo?
4. Our calender begins A.D. the mayans, begins B.C.
5. If the mayans saw the end of the world coming... why didnt they see the spanish coming? lol
