Where Would You Spend $100 in Roslindale?
Hypothetically, if someone gave you $100 that had to be spent in Roslindale what businesses would you spend it?
Let's say you were given $100 to spend in Roslindale - and you had to spend it in Roslindale. Where would you spend it? And you can spend it in multiple places!
You could hit up one of the many restaurants in Roslindale Village? Maybe you'd visit fast food alley on American Legion Highway? How about the Pet Cabaret?
Patch asked Steve Gag, board president for Roslindale Village Main Street, on what he would do if given $100 to spend in Roslindale.
He laughed at first, and said, "I love all the restaurants. I'm thinking about going to one of my many favorite restaurants. And also going to the food shops to the Boston Cheese Cellar, Roslindale Fish, to Tony's Market, to El Chavo, and to Bob’s Pita Bread. Those places are unique to Roslindale. You can go to other places and can’t find their stuff anywhere else in Boston, unless you look really hard."

I'd probably use my $100 at a couple different places. Get a sandwich at Fornax, some cheese at the Boston Cheese Cellar, stop in at Minerva's Owl Boutique, pick up a burrito at Romano's, and do a little shopping at El Chavo.

I would buy some bread and sweets at Fornax; stop in to Sarida to buy an artsy gift for someone I love; pick up a cute card at Birch St. Home and Garden; then a bottle of wine at Solera along with some cheese and treats from the Boston Cheese Cellar!

Gorgeous craft beers at Solera, get something funky at Joanne Rossman's, and then blow the rest on some hush puppies and pork specials at Redd's. Sooooo...are you going to give me a $100 now?!
