Thrift Shop of Boston Donates $125K to Home for Little Wanderers

The Thrift Shop of Boston is a non-profit organization dedicated to helping the children and families served by The Home for Little Wanderers

 

The Thrift Shop of Boston surprised the staff at The Home for Little Wanderers with a check for $125,000 on Monday.

Located on Corinth Street in Roslindale, The Thrift Shop of Boston, the oldest thrift store in Boston, donated $50,000 more than last year to the Home, according to a press release.

“We’re thrilled to be able to help The Home for Little Wanderers and the children in their care,” said Anne Robertson, acting volunteer President of The Thrift Shop of Boston and a longtime volunteer via press release. “This has been a remarkable year thanks to the support of our dedicated customers and donors in addition to the Roslindale Community. They are truly the ones who keep us going and allow us to make a positive impact in the lives of some of the state’s most vulnerable children and families every day.”

“This donation comes at a very important time for The Home,” said Joan Wallace-Benjamin, President and CEO, The Home for Little Wanderers. “Through the generous support of partners like The Thrift Shop, we are able to invest in the future of our youth and expand our network of services which will allow them to thrive and succeed.”

The Home for Little Wanderers is a non-profit organization that helps children and family. The Thrift Shop of Boston has provided has raised more than $750,000 since the two organizations began collaborating.
