Steve Gag, board president of Roslindale Village Main Street told Patch the following about the meeting. "We were very pleased with the number of people who attended and the strong support that we received from nearly everyone in the room for our proposal to develop the substation and the adjacent Higgins parcel. I was very proud of our community as we dealt with difficult issues and discussed them with care and civility. It is the only meeting I have been to of that size and with such large and important issues where there was virtually no rancor."

The comment period for the proposed project ends on Feb. 19. Comments can be sent to the Boston Redevelopment Authority's Raul Duverge, Project Assistant, at raul.duverge.bra@cityofboston.gov.
